Since 1983 the Police Foundation’s Annual Lecture has provided a space for major public figures to reflect on the challenges facing policing today. To acknowledge the unique contribution of Lord Harris of Greenwich, the founder of the Police Foundation, the Lecture was renamed following his death in April 2001 as the ‘John Harris Memorial Lecture’.
