Stan Gilmour

Stan Gilmour is a Strategic Consultant and was most recently the Director of the Thames Valley Violence Reduction Unit. In his 30 years in policing Stan worked across local and neighbourhood policing, major crime, intelligence operations, counter-terrorism and public protection. He was a member of the College of Policing’s Neighbourhood Guidelines and Problem-Solving Guidelines Committees, helping to create a co-ordinated approach to evidence-based policing. Stan has a clear focus on how solutions to data and information sharing can underpin and add value to the choices made by the police, their communities and partners that adds legitimacy and builds trust. He holds an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Oxford.
